Are children at risk of dying from Covid-19? The simple answer is yes, as their is risk in everything; BUT that is really the wrong question.
The RIGHT QUESTION should be how much risk are children of dying from Covid-19. To answer that, let’s get some perspective.
- In 2019 128 kids died in school bus accidents. (Buses didn’t operate in 2020)
- In 2020 Ninety-Two (92) children under the age of 15 died of Covid-19 according to the CDC. Please check the stats HERE.
Your child has a greater chance of playing in the NBA then dying of Coronavirus. Your child has a greater chance of dying in a school bus accident to or from school then dying of the Coronavirus.
Your child has a greater chance of dying of the seasonal flu than dying of the Coronavirus. Unfortunately, your child also has a much higher statistical chance of becoming depressed or committing suicide they dying of the Coronavirus.
